Detoxing Mercury in the Body

Detoxing Mercury in the Body

I have given the information about how the biological dentists removed the mercury fillings safely without exposing the patient or the dental staff of the toxic mercury vapor. What most people and other medical staff don’t realize or understand is that all people that has or had mercury fillings, have accumulated toxic mercury in their bodies.  Through much European research, it has been found that mercury particles find their way into almost every organ of the body, entering into the cells and causing cell damage.  The physical effects of such toxicity can vary from no side effects at all to many debilitating diseases such as chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia. This subject matter will be discussed in future writings.

Heavy Metal Removal

Many of my patients ask me questions concerning the use of heavy metal chelators or ways of detoxing  the body of toxic metals. As a matter of discussion and information, in the next few sessions of Tooth Talk, I will write about the different chelators available being of a natural consistency or of a man made type. Let us start by looking at one of the natural types, chlorella.

Chlorella

Chlorella has been around for many years and it was discovered to be a powerful detoxification aid of not only heavy metals but pesticides. Numerous research projects in the U.S. and Europe has found chlorella to aid the body in breaking down hydrocarbon and metallic toxins such as mercury, cadmium and lead, DDT and PCB while strengthening the immune system response.

chlorella Chlorella is a genus of single-cell green algae, belonging to the phylum Chlorophyta. It is spherical in  shape, about 2 to 10 μm in diameter, and is without flagella. Chlorella has a high content of plant chlorophyll.

How Chlorella Detoxifies

Chlorella contains a high amount of chlorophyll, more so per gram than any other plant. It is comprised of a fibrous, indigestible outer shell and its inner nutrients. It is the fibrous material which has been proven to actually bind with the heavy metals like mercury and pesticides which can accumulate in our bodies.  Chlorophyll has known to have a cleansing action on the bowel and other elimination channels, as well as its protection of the liver. This cleansing action helps keep the blood clean of metabolic wastes. A clean bloodstream, with an abundance of red blood cells to carry oxygen, is necessary to a strong natural defense system.

Health Benefits of Chlorella

Chlorophyll is effective against anemia and stimulates the production of red blood cells in the body. It also helps carry oxygen around the body and to the brain. This is why chlorella is often called a ‘brain food’.  Chlorophyll also contains Magnesium which is essential for the heart to function properly. Every time the heart beats, it is utilizing magnesium to do so.

Chlorella helps with Bad Breath

Since chlorella helps in digestion, people find chronic bad breath is often eliminated in just a few days of using chlorella. Constipation is often relieved as well as foul smelling stools.

Chlorella is an Immune Defense Booster

Chlorella is known to boost the immune system to combat foreign bodies like bacteria, viruses and chemicals. It stimulates the activities of macrophages and T-cells by increasing the interferon levels. Interferon is a natural secretion of the body that is thought to be the stimulator of macrophages and T-cells that enhances the immune system to fight off infection and cancerous tumors.

A Balancer of Body pH

The American diet of today has gotten poor with the consumption of fast foods, processed and junk foods, over cooked foods and carbonated soft drinks. These foods give the body an acidic environment of approximately pH 2.7. Ideally the body should maintain a pH of 7.0 to 7.2 which is about neutral. Bacteria, viruses and cancer thrive in an acidic environment. When the body is in such an acidic state it is inviting to such diseases. Chlorella is an alkaline food and helps to maintain the proper pH balance. Proper nutrition as well as eating whole and unprocessed foods would be the ultimate step in preventing disease and cancer.

Reduces High Blood Pressure

Heart attack and strokes are often the result of high blood pressure which account for more deaths in the U.S. than any other disease. Laboratory experiments on rats have shown a reduction in blood pressure with the regular use of chlorella.

Normalizes Blood Sugar

Proper body metabolism and heart function rely on a balanced blood sugar. Hypoglycemia, a condition of low blood sugar, tends to normalize with the use of chlorella.  Learn more about Chlorella.

Dose for Detoxing

It has been known that Chlorella is a mild form of detoxing the body. It normally is made in small tablets and requires one to take on an average about 10 to 12 tablets per day depending on the manufacture.  The next question should be, “how long should one take chlorella to be an effective chelator of mercury?” In my experience,  I have found that it was necessary to take chlorella for about 9 months to a year to remove the heavy metal from the body, but there was no way of knowing the answer to that question unless a heavy metal test was performed following the detox. More about that later in future
