We're searching for a Dental Hygienist who is excited to help our community achieve their healthiest, happiest smiles. This isn't your average 9-to-5. We offer a unique opportunity for a full-time or part-time position where you get to create your own schedule between our operating hours of 8 am and 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Patient Care & Clinical Procedures:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including the removal of plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
- Conduct dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing for patients with periodontal disease.
- Assess patients' oral health, including screening for oral diseases, gum inflammation, and signs of oral cancer.
- Apply preventive agents such as fluorides and sealants to help protect against decay.
- Take and develop dental X-rays to assist the dentist in diagnosing dental problems.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and the use of other dental care products.
- Provide dietary counseling and advise patients on the link between nutrition and oral health.
- Administer local anesthesia (where permitted by state law and licensure).
- Review and update patient medical and dental histories, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.
Administrative & Office Support:
- Maintain and manage accurate patient records, treatment plans, and appointment details in compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to health and safety protocols.
- Set up and clean treatment rooms before and after each patient appointment.
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and as needed during procedures.
- Manage a patient recall system to ensure patients return for their regular check-ups.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including monitoring and ordering hygiene-related supplies.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing any concerns to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Collaborate with the dentist and other team members to create and present comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communicate findings from oral health screenings to the dentist for diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, building rapport and trust to encourage good oral health habits.
